MacWorld EXPO/Tokyo '96

Go to Japanese edition.

Newton Japan, currently the only one authorized Newton User Group in Japan, presented their daily activities in a form of NewtonBook using Newton Press at the occation of MacWorld EXPO/Tokyo '96, which was held from February 21 to 24, 1996 in Makuhari, Chiba (please ask for the reason why the place of the location of this EXPO was entitled "Tokyo" to IDG or Apple Japan, Inc.
who is the organizer of this EXPO, since it was actually taken place in Chiba prefecture).
Daily prepared NewtonBook was available on the next day on major on-line servises in Japan such as NIFTYSERVE, etc., and also at a download-station hosted by Enfour Co., Ltd. during EXPO period for the people who visited this EXPO.
This may be the first opportunity for Newton-users to be well informed of the daily events for EXPO using NewtonBook.
However, without any one of the collaboration among Apple Japan, Inc., UG, developpers, and online services, this timely and smooth disclosure of information to Newton-users has never been accomplished.
At present, NewtonBook packages can be downloaded at major on-line services in Japan such as NIFTYSERVE, etc. and/or at Japan Newton Information(opened and maintained in Nagoya).
Taking this opportunity, we much appreciated great assistances and contributions given by members of SMACLIFE forum of NIFTYSERVE, employees of Enfour Co., Ltd., Ms. Kenmotsu (in charge of UG support) and Mr. kawahara (in chargeof Newton) of Apple Japan, Inc.
